The Institute is located at Bhandu, 10 Km from Mehsana, on Mehsana-Unjha-Palanpur state highway. It is also well connected by railway on Ahmedabad-Mehsana-Delhi broad gauge line. The Northern region of Gujarat state has people with entrepreneurial skills but lacks enough number of professional institutes and mainly institutes imparting engineering education. The Chairman, Mr. Bhogilal L. Patel and the Hon. Members of the trust, being leading technocrat entrepreneurs, decided to establish a degree level engineering college near his native Valam as a gesture to serve the society and tribute to his father Late Shri. Laljibhai Chaturbhai Patel. The institute was established in academic year 2002-03 with approval of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and the State Government.
